Thirteen scholars from Mainland China exchanged ideas about higher education with professors at Providence University on December 1, 2004.

During the Fifteenth Association of Christian Universities and Colleges in Asia (ACUCA) General Assembly, President Yu’s appointment as the new representative of Christian universities and colleges in Taiwan was affirmed.

The ACUCA assembly themed, “The Signs of the Times and Christian Worldview in Education” included a workshop by Dr. John Belcher entitled, Managing Your University’s Reputation. President Yu and Dr. Falkenstein both found the workshop helpful to Providence University’s strategic plan for the future.









Providence University, Taiwan and Petra University, Indonesia entered into a five-year international academic exchange agreement effective December 3, 2004.

Dr. Murali Venugopalan of Western Illinois University, USA and his wife, Shuhui, visited Taiwan and initiated talks with President Matthew Min-Teh Yu and Dr. Anne Therese Falkenstein to establish an exchange agreement with Providence University on December 29, 2004.
