On December 12, 2005, Dr. Klaus Gommlich, Professor of English & Director of the ESL Center, visited Providence University and gave a speech on "Good English Language Learners and Teachers".


Dr./S. Anne Therese Falkenstein introduced Dr. Klaus Gommlich before the speech given by Dr. Klaus Gommlich in Gratia Hall, Luking Library.

On December 13, 2005, the delegates of the Ministry of Education (MOE) visited Providence University.


Mr. Carlos Huang introduced Chinese Language Education Center (CLEC) to the delegates of the Ministry of Education.


Mr. Wu, Special Committee Member of the International Office of MOE, gave his comments after the presentations of Providence University.

Dr. Kuo-ch'ing Tu, professor of the Department of East Asian Languages and Cultural Studies at University of California, Santa Barbara (U.S.A.), visited Providence University on December 19, 2005.

The Chinese Language Education Center held a Christmas Party for international and overseas Chinese students on December 20, 2005.


Three international students hosted the Christmas Party.


"Merry Christmas and Happy New Year" from students of different countries in their native languages.


Dr./S. Anne Therese Falkenstein, Director of the Office Of International Affairs, spoke about the meaning of Christmas.


Ms. Therese Hsia, Director of the Chinese Language Education Center, welcomed students, guests, and friends of Providence University.

International Food Fair was held before Christmas for students to experience different kinds of foods by countries on December 22, 2005. International students made the foods by themselves.

The Office of International Affairs held an Exchange Student Workshop to promote exchange program for students on December 22, 2005.


Ms. Kelly Chiu (on left-hand side), the host of the workshop, answered the questions from students.
